I have found that even the best senior portrait plans sometimes crumble at the last second.
That’s what happened when Amelia, a Class of 2020 senior at Archbishop Hannan, and I realized that the Kokomo Stroll was happening on North Columbia Street in downtown Covington, Louisiana on the same evening we originally planned to do her senior portraits there.
We shifted gears to Madisonville instead and decided to start her session in Fairview Riverside State Park before heading to the other side of the Tchefuncte River to finish on the streets of Madisonville.
Amelia’s senior portrait experience turned into a photoshoot where we just walked around the state park and downtown Madisonville to look for interesting locations and backgrounds. Through this process of discovery, Amelia and I discovered that there is a lot to be said for spontaneous adventure.
